Graham does a fantastic job of building a memorable world where magic and personal goals go hand in hand. The prose deserves particular praise since it gives rich mental visuals, making the reading experience extremely immersive.
With a cast that is not only funny, but also very human, Awakening Blood Oath is the perfect choice if you like immersive fantasy settings and flawed characters who try to surpass their status.
A strong first book in the series you need to get your hands on as soon as possible.
